We are an informal group of people owned by pet
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (and their friends).
We meet on the
first Saturday of each month to walk together through Ruffey Lake Park in Doncaster. We meet at the car park off the boulevard
(
Melways reference 33 G9).
Some of our Cavaliers love to swim in the
lake and some prefer to walk or run. The park is off-leash and safe
(with supervision) because of the layout of this wonderful park
you and your Cavalier can walk for 10, 15 or 30 minutes - up to you!
We usually get together under one of the shelters to have a thermos
of coffee/tea and nibbles after our walk. If you are unable to cope with
the walk but would like your Cavalier to participate, there is always
someone who will take care of your dog while you wait at the shelter.
It is a wonderful opportunity to meet new Cavaliers and their people.
We swap advice and stories about our dogs. Everyone is delighted when we
are joined by new pups. The walk gives our Cavaliers the opportunity to
socialise with their own, and the other dogs that use the park. We have
had several shy Cavaliers who have "come out of their shells" after a
couple of walks.
